Blossoming Bauhinia Paints the Sky: One Root, Two Cities

Students from IDPMPS and Song Quan Experimental School (Primary Section) came together in Shen Zhen from April 10 to 11, reconnecting with friends and strengthening national ties.

Through poetry, generative AI-assisted creative writing, and English speeches, they explored language’s beauty. They collaborated on digital bookmarks on Canva featuring wisdom from the English Sayings of Wisdom competition by EDB, spreading messages of READ (Resilience, Empowerment, Appreciation and Delight). A friendly football match further strengthened friendships.

On day two, students visited an industrial exhibition and a jewellery museum, gaining insights into China’s technological achievements.

As the trip ended, heartfelt goodbyes were exchanged through handmade gifts, high fives, and warm hugs.

Helen Keller once said, “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light." This exchange proved that friendship is about standing together, learning, and embracing new experiences.
